EG Justice believes that to create lasting social change, democratic safe spaces must be created for an informed and invested citizenry to take collective, transformative action that empowers individuals, overcomes oppression, and reforms institutions.

Education and Grassroots Mobilization

We educate, empower, and engage a new generation of democracy and human rights advocates at home and abroad, through internships, seminars, and workshops focused on human rights, democracy, and transitional justice.
We undertake broad-base grassroots campaigns to reform institutions inside Equatorial Guinea.

Research, Documentation and Reporting

We objectively document human rights violations—collecting oral and written testimonies inside the country and abroad—to hold violators accountable, publish periodic reports, and educate the public.

Advocacy with Policy Makers

We collaborate with international organizations to bring critical human rights issues to the attention of global policy-makers, including the United Nations, the African Union, and other multilateral organizations to advocate for measurable improvements on human rights and democracy in Equatorial Guinea.

Litigation

We undertake and support legal advocacy to hold human rights abusers accountable in local, regional, and international tribunals. We work very closely with community-based partners to empower them through the litigation process.
